Senior Sadness: School’s Back Plus a Marietta High School Hack
Yay, it’s time to go back to school for the last time ever! I cannot wait for these next nine months to fly by so I can just graduate already! I cannot wait to move away and go to college! Wrong. Though, I know this is how a majority of the senior class feels. I, for one am nowhere near ready to graduate. I am not ready for this to be the year of lasts. It pains me to think about this being the last time I get to play the sports I love, last time I get to partake in the pep rallies, last time getting ready for and going to homecoming and prom, last time I get to have my favorite teachers in class, last time I get to cheer on the tigers at the _arren game, the list is endless. With every day’s passing I have to kiss goodbye another high school memory forever. With the school year only barely begun, I can already feel it zooming by right before my eyes. I challenge myself and fellow seniors to enjoy every last moment we have together to the fullest we can. People always say that this last year of high school is supposed to be the best of them all; I am in full belief this is true. Now for something a little less sentimental and cheesy. Given that I am a senior, I have had my fair share of good and bad moments, and have learned a couple lessons that have helped me get through high school a little easier. The most important thing I have learned and want to suggest to every student, freshmen to seniors, is to find at least one teacher that you can trust and come to with anything. At MHS we are lucky enough to have members on the staff who truly care and want the best for their students. Having an adult you can come to to voice excitement or to help you through a bad day is essential in maintaining sanity during your high school years. I wish everyone a great school year, especially my fellow seniors, let’s make it our best!
