Pokémon Lets go! Review: Do the titles hold true to what critics say?
Everyone knows that the Hit app, Pokémon Go, was extremely popular in the summer months of 2016. That may not be the case now, but the app is still one of the most popular apps on the stores. A new game that came up this past may, Pokémon Let’s go, Pikachu! And Pokémon Let’s go Eevee. Was announced for the new Nintendo switch game console. These new games were intentionally released to link the Pokémon Go fans and the main game players together. These games seem to be a test title for the Nintendo Switch, as the Pokémon Company are switching devises that the players will play the new games on. The new games seem to be making quite a lot of changes to the gameplay mechanics that have been in the core titles for years. The new switch titles also seem to be easier, as the fans thought, when they were releasing new game play footage. The games resealed on November 16th, and many fans were surprised by how much they actually enjoyed the games. Pokemon Let’s Go, Pikachu! And Let’s go Eevee looked to be smashing hits, selling well over many other titles that the other games have had in the past. These new games are also the first core series Pokemon games to be released on a home console, which is great news for the Pokemon company. The game changed several things that long time fans aren't happy about, such as wild battles with the make believe creatures, and the fact that there are several additions to the games, such as new Pokemon, and the app Pokemon Go, integration. However, the game also is intended to bring in a new type of player base, fans that have never played a Pokemon game that isn't on their phones, and new fans; fans that have never played a Pokemon game at all. Critics among the games were harsh at first, but the stunning graphics, the amazing voice acting and style in which the game is set in surely gave a shock to many, including the old and upset fans which expected the game to flop.
