Andy’s Veggie Chili: This chili took a strange form, a form that oddly reminded me of a key lime pie. Upon biting into this key lime pie, a refreshing euphoria punched me square in the face. It was if I was opening a crisp, cool Sprite with LeBron James. If you are ever in the mood for a crisp, cool Sprite but are unable to hunt one down, I suggest you instead hunt down Andy Sands and demand that he make this key lime pie instead. Chili Score:2 Thumbs Down. Taste Score: 2 Thumbs Up.
Grace’s Meatless Chili: Grace’s Chili took the form of pretzel sticks and peanuts covered in chocolate. I was disappointed that both chefs failed to grasp to concept of chili. However, what I was not disappointed in was the overall taste of Grace’s concoction. I am often overwhelmed by the amount of chocolate in such recipes, but in this tasting the addition of peanuts helped counteract the strong influence of the chocolate. It was as if Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups had a baby with a Take 5. Chili Score: 0 Gold Stars. Taste Score: 3 Gold Stars.
Andy’s Veggie Chili: The Chili was chilled, creamy, and fluffy and most importantly, delicious. The Chili, taking the name of “Key Lime Pie” was made in such a way which resembled that of a can of sprite. The lime flavor was taking its time to reach the front to back of my mouth, which made the pie even more tasty. Andy Sands really made a piece of art, which was a good start for this segment here at the MHS Original. Taste Points: 8.5/10 Style Points: 5/10. (He got some of it on the table)
Grace’s Meatless Chili: Grace’s Meatless Chili was a blend of a Salty, sweet, chocolate mix which gave my taste buds quite a surprise. Grace’s Chili had the mixture of Pretzel Sticks which blended with the chocolate taste, supported by the peanut butter. Overall, the combination tasted great on it’s own, but would taste better if it were outside of a walmart bake sale. Taste Points: Twelve Stars Style Points: 3 Stars
