Being a Lakers fan has not always been the easiest when it come to staying loyal to the Laker franchise and being able to watch the whole entire game without getting mad. The Lakers record is currently 21-19. You would think that a winning record is good, but with the amount of potential the Lakers had coming into this season it’s a bit disappointing. The Lakers are a very young team with 3 very young starters. The past couple of games the team has been struggling a good bit. With their Captain Lebron James out with a bad groin injury, the Lakers have gone 5-1 the past 6 games he has been out. Many fans of the NBA believe that the Lakers are nothing without Lebron. I however don’t believe that. I believe that they’re struggling without him yes but they have enough talent to be a top rated teams and not to have a losing record without him. But the people who disagree with me have reason to believe that they need Lebron because before the injury the lakers were 4th in the West and now the Lakers have dropped all the way down to 8th! Besides the fact that the Lakers record is going down the drain they haven’t been playing the best either. The Lakers are the 3rd to last in the the NBA in 3 point shooting. With them being that bad at shooting it really hurts them because of the way the NBA is now. Back in the 1980’s during the NBA all of the teams combined only shot 8,000+ 3 pointers, in today’s game with all of the teams combine they have shot 500,000+ 3 pointers. Being such a young team can be hard in all and getting use to playing at the professional level is a big step but the rookies seem to be handling the pressure very well. Scared they might be while they try to fit into a new team is common in a lot of players but the Lakers on the other hand have team chemistry like no other in the NBA. The way they move the ball on the court and know exactly want their teammates want from each other is just mesmerizing. Yes, if you’re getting paid millions of dollars to play basketball you should be able to play with just about anyone, but with the Lakers it seems as if they’ve grown up playing together their whole life.
